About me
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Samantha’s background has always been rooted in the performing arts and dance. She has been living in London for 11 years where she has been working in Physical Theatre on and off the West End.
Her Love for Movement has always been a driving force behind her work and she has been greatly inspired by her mediation practice of the Five Rhythms, contact improvisation, Shamanism, Tantra and Kundalini Yoga. She is qualified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and runs many dance spaces across London. Her work is about recovering the balance within our bodies, reconnecting to our heart centers and dancing our way to find out what it takes to love ourselves and others deeper. Her work navigates at looking at ways to awaken the Freedom within us.
She has been working with children and Special needs for over ten years. Her emphasis is in movement and using the human body as a tool for deeper self-expression and play She has been a qualified Children’s entertainer for the past 9 years and has too worked across many schools as a classroom assistant.
She believes children are the key for the future, she believes we need to share with them the importance of honesty, playfulness, dancing, responsibility and above all love. Her workshops and parties aim to incorporate a healthy aspect to the physical body, play and learning to play for the play sake. She focuses on the creative imagination and movement exploration through light, joyful, fun and theatrical techniques.
Samantha is a dedicated writer with a children's book on the way. She is also a devoted mother to her beloved son Tayo and continues to grow, search and expand into this mysterious journey we know as Life.
